Norman Wisdom lived in Deal from the age of nine and continued to return even after he became famous. A new exhibition at Kent Museum of the Moving Image in Deal focuses on his deep connection with Deal: "Our Norman: From Deal to the World". Natasha Poljakowa (left in the picture) wrote the article for the Deal Despatch and remembers that even in the Soviet Union where she grew up, people flocked to the village cinema near the polar circle to watch his films.
